How to oCR PDF
- Select your scanned PDF.
- Choose the language of the document.
- Click Run OCR and download the searchable PDF.
A scanned document is just a picture of text, so you can't search it or copy from it. OCR (optical character recognition) reads the letters in the image and adds an invisible text layer, so the PDF looks the same but becomes searchable. We support English, Tamil and Hindi.

How long does it take?
Usually a few seconds per page. Long documents can take a minute or two.
Is my file uploaded?
Yes, OCR runs on our server. The file is deleted as soon as the result is sent back to you.
